Best Buy will release its own Android-based tablet next month, the Insignia Flex.
According to a facebook post, the tablet will feature Android 4.0 ICS, dual-core 1GHz processor, 9.7" screen and a ten hour battery life.
It will also have a front facing camera for video conferencing and weight about 1.45 pounds, same weight as the Apple iPad.
The new tablet is expected to be priced at $239 to $259, Reuters reports, citing "a source familiar with the matter."
Best Buy has not shared the exact price for its tablet but it will have to face the competition with the Amazon Kindle Fire, Google's Nexus 7 and other Android tablets already on the market in addition to Microsoft's Surface which began shipping this week as well.
The new device will be in stores next month and only sold at Best Buy.
