For most enterprises, communication and video conferencing solutions have proven to be an exercise in compromise, with only a fraction of the intended users having access to the technology. Those compromises, which are the result of issues such as platform incompatibilities, high licensing costs, or even various endpoint concerns, have prevented many organizations from achieving the ideal from a virtual conference room or collaboration solution.

Pexip (www.pexip.com) aims to resolve those compromises with their product called Infinity, which wraps a transcoding engine, MCU (Multipoint Control Unit), and gateway together into an inexpensive unified software platform, which can connect multiple legacy video conferencing systems to each other and incorporate the latest video conferencing technologies.

It is the unification of those varied conferencing and collaboration solutions that make Pexip Infinity a major value proposition for enterprises seeking to achieve improved workforce efficiencies. t. Infinity provides the foundation to enable legacy video conferencing systems to connect to Microsoft Skype for Business/Lync, web browsers, tablets and smartphones, audio conferences, and other endpoints in seamless unity. Infinity also supports self-branding, allowing IT departments to offer it as a unique service to their internal customers, creating an environment that eases collaboration, yet gives credit where credit is due.

IT departments are able to deploy Infinity just like any other enterprise application and immediately offer Video Conferencing and Unified Communications capabilities to end users. As a software solution, IT administrators also have the flexibility to deploy Infinity onsite, in the cloud, or on a hybrid platform. Pexip Infinity is a distributed, virtualized software, meaning that concerns with scale, deployment, load balancing and management are vastly reduced.

Pexip Infinity comes across as a disruptive solution that will change how enterprises deal with virtual conference rooms, video conferencing and unified communications. Wainhouse research has determined that Pexip Infinity is a market leading solution as evidenced by a November 2015 analysis which stated "... several technology-savvy individuals, including a few from companies that compete against Pexip, admitted to us (off the record) that the technology in Infinity was market-leading."

Ultimately, with its award winning Infinity collaboration and communications platform, Pexip aims to be the leader in driving organizational efficiency through providing outstanding user experiences and class-leading interoperability for an unlimited number of users.
