Fuze acquired by ThinkingPhones, bolstering collaborative options for businesses

Video conferencing startup Fuze sold to ThinkingPhones on Monday for an undisclosed sum.
Prior to the acquisition, San Francisco-based Fuze raised $68.5 million over four rounds from investors such as Khosla Ventures, Insight Venture Partners, Index Ventures and Hermes Growth Partners. The company also has offices in Palo Alto and Seattle.
Charlie Newark-French is president of Fuze, which was founded in 2009 to combine high-definition voice, video and content-sharing capabilities into a cloud-based experience that works across desktops, devices and meeting rooms. More than 100,000 companies use Fuze, including Groupon, Starbucks, Macys.com and Thoughtworks.
