It also details the facilities available within each room, making it easy for the user to choose which is the most appropriate. The panel can be used to make an immediate booking, or a future one. For pre-booked meetings, the host or optionally, a meeting attendee, may check in for the meeting via the room panel. To ensure efficient use of meeting rooms, the panel takes advantage of the latest in sophisticated technology, with a range of check-in options available including user password authentication, NFC Tags or QR code scans, Bluetooth and even facial recognition. This check-in process ensures a booked room either gets used or is released for others to book.
Complementing the Room Panel for users on the move is the Smartway2 mobile app, which adds a new dimension in flexibility. The mobile app offers the functionality to search and book meeting rooms and desks and is compatible with tablets and Smartphones based on Android, iOS and Windows Mobile operating systems. The Smartway2 mobile app allows users to search for an available room or desk that meets their requirements either in advance or on-the-fly and check-in easily on arrival using any of the methods previously mentioned. By leveraging Google's latest location-based services, should one of a party arrive early for a meeting, Smartway2 can navigate them to a nearby facility, such as a coffee shop.
