GMS Global Media Services partners with Acano to support business conference room technology

Eschborn, 08.10.2014 - GMS Global Media Services, an international cross-vendor Unified Communications (UC) provider, brings the Videoconference products of new British partner Acano to the markets of Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH region). The full-service provider expands their service portfolio to a highly scalable video conferencing infrastructure and additional UC solutions. Acano products are ideal for companies wanting to integrate multiple platforms such as Microsoft Lync, Skype, telephony and standards-based audio/video.
The London / Uxbridge company provides video conferencing via "Acano CoSpaces" - these are individual virtual meeting rooms. Users can join via web browser, mobile device, traditional VC or UC-Applications such as Microsoft Lync - access to Acano infrastructure is universally supported. Telephony, web conferencing and video conferencing systems are brought together in a unified solution. New Head for conference room technology and digital signage
Along with targeted expansion of technology partners, GMS is also growing its technical and commercial competency. The latest addition to the GMS executive team is Mr Thomas Ast. Mr Ast is a specialist in Audiovisual Media Technology and will be responsible for the business areas of Conference room technology and Digital Signage. In this position he will lead the strategic development of both areas. The aim is to strengthen the market presence of GMS in the DACH region and exploit the potential in the growing markets for conference room technology and digital signage.

Before joining GMS, Thomas Ast spent many years at Concom Didas GmbH in Langenfeld in digital signage and conference room technology. The 46-year-old was responsible for project work. Moreover he provided sales activitiy support for IT services. His professional career includes Multi Vision GmbH, a system house for media and conference technology.

Acano is a British company that provides a highly scalable video conferencing infrastructure and further UC solutions. Acano customers receive "Acano CoSpaces", these are virtual meeting rooms which combine previously incompatible audio, video and web technologies.
