Synergy SKY announces general availability of the next version of its comprehensive Video as a Service management platform

OSLO, Norway, October 6, 2014 - Synergy SKY, a developer of comprehensive multi-vendor, multi-tenant management solutions for unified communications, today announced the general availability of the next version of its platform. Version 3.4 includes the ability to perform basic branding in the user interface, added and improved support for Microsoft Lync and Polycom infrastructure devices, as well as improvements in the installation process. The new version is available for customer deployment today.

"Besides introducing support for Microsoft Lync, our service provider customers have requested the ability to customize the branding of their video services, and we are happy to announce that the new version of Synergy SKY is addressing this. Customized graphical branding in the user interface means that a service provider can either customize one graphical branding towards all their customers, or they can offer a customized branding for individual customers", says Lars Bergendahl,

Synergy SKY 3.4 adds four key functions to the previous version:

  • Customer graphical branding: Allows the customers to upload their own logo, and change the font- and background color.
  • Added Polycom support: Added support for monitoring, reporting and billing for both Polycom DMA and Polycom RMX. Real time status of both Polycom DMA and RMX can be tracked, and Synergy SKY will also retrieve data from both DMA and RMX for generating call reports and billing information.
  • Added Microsoft Lync support: The possibility to perform monitoring and reporting of Microsoft Lync clients, including access to track real time status of Microsoft Lync. Synergy SKY will now retrieve data from Microsoft Lync for generating of call reports.
  • Improved installation process: The installation process has been simplified and with a more automated workflow, and the time to install and deploy the solution has been greatly reduced.
