REDWOOD CITY, CA, Sep 08, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Blue Jeans Network, the global leader in interoperable cloud-based video collaboration services, and Tely Labs, the leader in simple, secure and affordable video conferencing systems, have partnered to create a compelling hardware appliance and cloud service solution specifically tailored to meet the needs of SMB organizations. Today the company also announced today the appointment of a new board member, Sudhakar Ramakrishna.

New "Blue Jeans for Tely" is a "lite" version of the market leading Blue Jeans video conferencing and collaboration service, with built-in support for Tely Labs's telyHD Pro plug-and-play video conferencing endpoint, as well as web browsers and mobile devices. Pricing for Blue Jeans for Tely starts at $1,000 per year per telyHD Pro, with unlimited use across an organization.

"Pairing a simple device with a cost-effective cloud service is exactly how small-and-medium-sized businesses will bring video conferencing into their meeting rooms," said Andrew W. Davis, senior partner at Wainhouse Research. "Ease of use is a key element here; reducing cost and complexity will accelerate the trend towards widespread adoption of video collaboration in SMB meeting rooms."

"We are excited to work with Tely Labs to extend the benefits of high quality video conferencing to small businesses," said Stu Aaron, chief commercial officer at Blue Jeans Network. "With Blue Jeans for Tely, you can connect your conference rooms with the people who can't be in them, making it possible to collaborate face-to-face with many more colleagues, customers, and partners. Thanks to Blue Jeans and Tely Labs, businesses don't have to be big or spend big to experience the big value of face-to-face collaboration."

"Most of our SMB customers are new to video conferencing and want access from their conference rooms to remote participants on laptops and mobile devices," said Sreekanth Ravi, CEO and co-founder of Tely Labs. "We're very happy to partner with Blue Jeans to serve this growing demand with a perfectly tuned service for the SMB market."

A free trial version of the new Blue Jeans for Tely is available online to users of the telyHD Pro, with 1200 free minutes for each telyHD Pro appliance they own. More details are available at http://www.tely.com/bluejeans.
