Malloy back as CEO of Austin's LifeSize Communications
Craig Malloy is back where he belongs. The founding CEO of LifeSize Communications has returned to the Austin-based video conferencing company after two years as chief executive of software maker Bloomfire Inc.
Malloy moved to Austin-based Bloomfire in 2012 after LifeSize was acquired for $405 million in 2009 by Logitech International SA (Nasdaq: LOGI). Bloomfire, founded in 2010 as SalesSquared Inc., develops online training software. It employs 30 workers.
LifeSize Communications employed 300 workers when it was acquired by Logitech. In May 2013, LifeSize was down to 200 employees when the company restructured and cut 12 percent of its Austin workforce.
