Yahoo has acquired yet another startup. The Marissa Mayer led company has now announced to have acquired yet another startup - Distill, which is a San Francisco-based technical recruiting software company. The financial details of the acquisition have not been revealed.
This time as well Yahoo has mainly acquired Distill for its talented employees who will be joining its headquarters at Sunnyvale and will shut down the startup by end of March. Distill has been working to make the process of technical recruiting easier by developing a service that does video conferencing and has a text editor with file uploading for the two parties to collaborate on coding. The company had raised $1.3 million from various investors including Felicis Ventures, Innovation Works and DN Capital, TechCrunch reports.
Two of the company's co-founders came from Tapjoy and will help build mobile advertising solutions for Yahoo. Here's the memo the company put up on its website.
