Forbes Talks Telepresence with Human Productivity Lab President & TPO Publisher Howard Lichtman
As most successful salespeople have said for years, there's no substitute for the face-to-face meeting. Even with today's quickly evolving technology, the old cliche of "putting a face to the name" still holds true. In-person interaction fosters positive connections, forges better relationships, and encourages collaboration, so the benefits of getting out of the office and in front of clients are manifold.
This presents a dilemma for entrepreneurs and executives who are forced to run their businesses, manage their teams or connect with far-flung clients while on the road. Despite all of our technological advances, it is still impossible to physically be in several places at one.
However, a solution is emerging. Telepresence technology has taken some giant leaps forward in recent years. The difference, said Human Productivity Lab founder and president Howard Lichtman, is the human factor.
