Latest Telepresence and Visual Collaboration News:
Blue Jeans video conferencing coming to Android
Here at GoMo Towers, it's been ages since we seriously discussed heavy duty videoconferencing. But US based Blue Jeans Network, has a refreshing new take on the subject. As we discovered when GoMo News had a cozy little chat with Blue Jean's new GM EMEA - James Campanini and its CCO, Stu Aaron in London [UK]. What the company does is support most of the videoconferencing standards in existence and then connect them all up in 'the cloud'. As Aaron said, "Blue Jeans aims to be the video dialtone." One good reason for meeting the pair was the fact Blue Jeans is set to release an Android app for its service on November 14th . The iOS app is currently the 180th most popular iPad business app in the Apple iTunes Store. Moreover, nearly one-third of Blue Jeans meetings have at least one mobile device in them.
