Surge in corporate video conferencing, says UCi2i
Global video conferencing company, UCi2i has claimed that 'home has become the workplace of choice', pointing to new research results from Ipsos MORI.
An Ipsos MORI survey of 1,000 remote workers, found 70 per cent admitted they get more done at home than they do in the office.
UCi2i says its customer usage increased 357 per cent in the last year, and claims it demonstrates the value of video communication in today's ever evolving workforce.
Data from HR management company, CIPD indicates that seven out of ten companies find remote working helps retention, motivation and engagement and that employers are feeling a greater need to connect people wherever they are.
"Our call usage figures are reflective of the industry as a whole and it's clear that for many businesses, video communication is now an integral part of both mobile and desktop interaction, allowing business to run as normal, regardless of an employee's location or device," said Managing Director at UCi2i, Michael Grant.
