Nashville VC Firm Helps Pump $3.4M into Texas-based Cloud Health Play
Nashville's Heritage Group joined with Ascension Health Ventures to pumpa reported $3.4 millioninto Plano, Tx.-based Vivify Health, it was announced today.
The company provides a SaaS platform that "delivers the next generation of direct-to-consumer care, including customized care plans, coaching, educational video content, and interactive video conferencing for any clinical condition."
Heritage is currently in the process of investing its Heritage Healthcare Innovation Fund, "a $167M strategic initiative focused on investments in businesses that improve the delivery of healthcare services."
"As market dynamics continue to evolve and providers assume more responsibility for post-acute care management, Vivify's solution will have tremendous applicability," said Rock Morphis, Managing Director of Heritage Group. "We are excited to be part of this company at such an instrumental time in its growth and development."
Apparently the investment dates back to January, when Dallas reporters ran across an SEC filing. Since then, however, all involved have been mum on the details untilthe official announcementwent out yesterday, albeit without mentioning the reported dollar figure.
Morphis will join the company's board.
