Johnson & Johnson, IVCI, AVI-SPL Address Cloud Managed Services for June 20th VCI-G Live

The Visual Communication Industry Group will host the next VCIG-Live event on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 at 1:00 PM ET. The VCIG-Live topic this month is Cloud Managed Services.The panel will address issues such as scalability, infrastructure costs, BYOD, and cloud services providers. The panelists will include: Steve Bleiberg, Johnson & Johnson Technology manager in IT shared Services, Chris Bottger, IVCi Senior Vice President-Collaboration Services and Tim Reik, AVI-SPL Senior Vice President of Services Operations. Vidtel Vice President of Sales and former industry analyst and talk show host JD Vaughn will moderate the event.
"Many decisions need to be addressed before making a decision to utilize a Cloud Managed services," said Todd Hughes,Vice President of the VCI-Group. "For instance, what type of managed service model is available in the cloud? Are cloud services cost savings real or are the costs simply moved around on the balance sheet? How will outsourcing impact the end user experience? Most importantly how much time and what processes do our user/members take to evaluate the many service providers available in today's market?"
The panel of experts includes a Fortune 500 end user and two prominent cloud services companies that will address these and other questions on Thursday June 20, 2013. Organizations already invested in room-centric video conferencing Cloud Managed Services will also learn how to extend the reach of their initial investment as new technologies are introduced so they can increase the ROI and user experience. The discussion will also focus on providing any-to-any connection capabilities for videoconferencing end points via the cloud. Connectivity between WebRTC, Skype, GoogleTalk and standards based videoconferencing end points will be closely examined.
