Biscotti video conferencing services brings dedicated, 25-participant conference room to every Biscotti user
McKinney, TX May 15, 2013
Biscotti Inc., a technology leader in high-definition video calling products and cloud-based services for the home and office, today announced its multiparty calling service. Biscotti customers can now enjoy both big-screen and big-room video conferencing.
Biscotti's customers can join high-definition multiparty calls with up to 25 participants. Biscotti's multiparty calling service enables face-to-face meetings with people around the world without the need for travel or reserving a physical conference room.
Biscotti's new service is cloud-based, so there is no need to install or maintain expensive in-house servers. Each Biscotti user is assigned a personal conference room. Conference rooms are PIN-protected for security. Joining your conference room is easy; simply click on the "My Conference Room" button conveniently located in your Biscotti's contact list. To join another conference room, simply call into a meeting room using your Biscotti camera and enter the room's security PIN.
"The combination of Biscotti's high quality, cost-effective cameras with cloud services is a powerful value proposition," said Dr. Matthew B. Shoemake, Founder of Biscotti. "Big screen, multiparty video conferencing no longer requires complex and expensive infrastructure investment. It's now as simple as purchasing a Biscotti camera and selecting your service plan."
Biscotti's multiparty calling service is great for distributed teams and telecommuters. Educators may use Biscotti for remote learning opportunities. Medical facilities may use Biscotti for remote patient or specialist access without the need for travel. Friends and family may use Biscotti for group events.
Biscotti multiparty calls automatically arranged screen layout based on the number of callers. Active speaker detection is included, so the person speaking is always prominently displayed on the screen for all other users.
Biscotti's multiparty calling service is available to all Biscotti cameras including the original Biscotti as well as the Biscotti XE and XS models. When connected to the Internet, Biscotti automatically updates to the latest software version, which includes the new multiparty calling feature.
For a limited time, unlimited multiparty calling service is available for free. After the initial trial period, Biscotti's unlimited multiparty calling service will be available for $9.95 per month.
