Nycomm acquires audio-visual specialist Videonations
The Nycomm Group, the Salford-based distributor of telecoms and video-conferencing equipment, has dialled up a multi-million pound turnover boost with a key acquisition.
Nycomm has bought Videonations, a video-conferencing and audio-visual specialist based in Altrincham.
Videonations, which was established in 2001 by managing director Ian Carter, employs 21 staff and turns over about � 4m.
Nycomm chairman Julian Niman said the takeover advances the group's capability in providing unified communications to its network of resellers.
He said: "We have been looking for some time for the right partner to help accelerate our future growth.
"Our market research predicts significant acceleration in video-conferencing in the small and medium-sized business market.
"It is our intention to capture the same share of the video market� that we have in the communication solutions market."
Videonations has an office in London as well as Altrincham and has worked for clients including the North West Ambulance Service, Barnardo's, industrial services business Brammer Group and Arsenal FC.
