Blue Jeans Network Announces Integration with LinkedIn

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Jeans Network, the leader in interoperable video conferencing services, today announced the integration of its cloud-based video conferencing service with LinkedIn.
"Both Blue Jeans and LinkedIn are about building better connections between people"
With the integration, available immediately, Blue Jeans users are able to sign up for the Blue Jeans Service and log in to Blue Jeans meetings using their LinkedIn credentials. Users who register in this manner will have their LinkedIn information, including personal photo, title and company, automatically uploaded to their Blue Jeans profile.
In addition, the integration allows participants on a Blue Jeans video conference to easily reference the LinkedIn profiles of other meeting participants by simply clicking their name in the participant roster. This functionality does not require an existing LinkedIn relationship between the meeting participants. Individuals with a pre-existing LinkedIn relationship, however, are also able to send messages directly via LinkedIn during the Blue Jeans session.
"Both Blue Jeans and LinkedIn are about building better connections between people," said Stu Aaron Chief Commercial Officer at Blue Jeans Network. "When you combine Blue Jeans' face-to-face video experience with the information and context available through LinkedIn you create an even more personal and effective meeting. Today's integration with LinkedIn is a natural progression in our mission to incorporate Blue Jeans video conferencing capabilities with leading business applications and social enterprise services. It builds upon the prior work we've done with Salesforce.com, and Facebook."
"At Daversa Partners, we are relentless in our quest to add value to the recruiting and executive search process," according to Paul Daversa, CEO at Daversa Partners a leading executive search firm. "Having video conference capabilities from Blue Jeans integrated into LinkedIn can streamline the interviewing process and make our team more efficient while providing high quality recruiting services to customers and prospects alike."
LinkedIn operates the world's largest professional network on the Internet with more than 175 million members in over 200 countries and territories, and recently introduced a redesigned profile page.
