Jenne's LifeSize Portfolio Enables Resellers to Profit From Turnkey Videoconferencing Solutions to World Class Scalable A/V Platforms Requiring Value-Added Expertise
LAS VEGAS, NV, Jun 11, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Jenne, Inc. [InfoComm booth N1417A], a leading value-added distributor of IP telephony, audio and video conferencing, unified communications, data networking and IT security products, announced that it has been selected by LifeSize, a pioneer and world leader in high-definition video collaboration, to carry its entire line of LifeSize Unity Series HD videoconferencing solutions. Unity is an affordable, simple-to-install, plug-and-play video solution that includes everything an end-customer would need to establish a high quality telepresence for a business -- including the television display -- at an economical price.
In addition, Jenne is proud to announce that it will be offering the more advanced LifeSize UVC Platform (Universal Video Collaboration): a scalable, single-interface video infrastructure solution. The LifeSize UVC Platform is the industry's first fully virtualized solution allowing IT administrators the ability to realize resource savings by allowing multiple applications to run on a single virtual machine -- saving space, power and overall IT costs.
By adding Unity and UVC to its linecard, Jenne strengthens its presence as a leading distributor of A/V solutions, while providing a range of innovative options to meet the individual needs of its reseller partners. Such varied solutions enable VARs to compete in a variety of market environments, and to offer products that are purpose-built for end-users of all sizes and capabilities. The UVC series already is available within the Jenne Solutions Designer (JSD) platform -- an online tool that allows resellers to pre-configure and price a multitude of solutions before purchasing -- and will be available for demonstration at the Jenne booth. The Unity Series will be available on the JSD platform in the near future.
"By providing the most innovative A/V solutions available on the market today, we are helping our reseller customers take advantage of a lucrative and still-emerging market category," said Bill Miller, Senior Manager of A/V Solutions at Jenne, Inc. "By introducing the Unity Series and UVC Platform to complement its existing video solutions, LifeSize has clearly established itself as a leader in providing A/V solutions to regional SMB offices all the way up to the Fortune 500 enterprise level."
The Unity Series, which offers several models at different price points, is an easy-sell for VARs in the SMB market, providing a streamlined option for smaller companies with a modest amount of IT staff and resources. In contrast, the higher-end UVC Platform empowers VARs with the opportunity to proffer integration expertise and ongoing value-added services such as maintenance and support. As an integrated, virtualized software platform, UVC consolidates the capabilities of multiple single-purpose products and makes them instantly available from a common interface. Also, UVC provides the ability to expand a system with additional technologies over time as the platform matures to include new applications, which are due to launch in the near future. LifeSize's UVC is compatible with VoIP systems from most major manufacturers, making it easier to expand as an end-user's requirements grow. This helps create opportunity for VARs to establish long-term upgrade and maintenance relationships with UVC oriented end-customers.
"We are delighted that Jenne sees the tremendous value the LifeSize Unity and UVC solutions bring to the market," said Sandra Hill, Director of Channels at LifeSize. "With a committed distribution partner like Jenne, who understands the challenges resellers face, we are able to better understand the channel's unique product requirements and develop innovative solutions that truly meet their needs."
"Solutions like the UVC Platform, with unique features such as a consolidated interface and the ability to virtualize the collaboration architecture, are the future of videoconferencing," Miller continued. "As A/V solutions and telepresence continues to permeate all sized organizations, Jenne is very well positioned to help our VARs capitalize on this momentum."
Jenne, Inc. will be spotlighting the LifeSize solutions, including the new Unity Series and the UVC Platform, at its InfoComm booth [N1417A] in Las Vegas on June 13 - 15.
