May 1, 2012 | Hogan Keyser
Chelmsford, MA April 30, 2012 -- AMD Global Telemedicne Inc, (AMD) announces AGNES 3.0 a product that is expected to change the delivery of healthcare. AGNES(TM) 3.0 builds on the well accepted version 2.0 and brings telemedicine to the next level of utility, functionality and cost control never before seen in telemedicine.
AGNES is a browser based open software platform for the integration of clinical medical devices in a telemedicine exam. It accomplishes this through secure standard Web Services. With AGNES, the remote physician (who can be located anywhere with reliable Internet access) sees both the clinical detail of distant patient and the results of the telemedicine devices integrated in a single dashboard. The system also allows for a two way video conference for patient interviews.
Depending on the strength of the Internet connection, AGNES sessions can be realtime or storred. In either case, the results of the exam can be entered into Electronic Medical Records systems.
AGNES 3.0 builds on the proven functionality of AGNES 2.0, which has been adopted by over 100 healthcare organizations.
Dr. Philip Sotiriades of TMA in Athens Greece states, 'We think Agnes solves almost of all the issues the industry has had with telemedicine to date. For the last 3 years, we at TMA and the telemedicine market in general, have been looking for this type "Hospital out of the Box" solution. We are so glad that it is finally here and that a company of AMD's reputation has brought it to us.'
Dan McCafferty, Vice President of Global Sales & Corporate Development at AMD believes that AGNES 3.0 delivers a solution to the needs and challenges of the clinical telemedicine market today. Specifically, McCafferty stated that 'we are delivering a peer to peer real time system also capable of data capture with easy integration into any web based EMR. The new version also includes patient identity 'context' and a brand new concept of Encounter Session Documents all operating independently yet in concert with the client's video conferencing system of choice.'
Lastly McCafferty added that 'our clients say this is just what they have been waiting for.'
AMD will be demonstrading AGNES 3.0 at the 2012 Annual Conference of The American Telemedicine Association (4/29/12 to 5/1/12) in San Jose, CA. Visitors are invited to see AGNES at booth 634.
