Hauppauge, NY April 26, 2012 -- IVCi, LLC, a leading integrator and service provider of unified communications (UC) solutions, today announced a pioneering new service called the Video Collaboration Cloud (VCC). VCC connects clients to IVCi's comprehensive suite of cloud-based video services that manage the people, the processes, and the technology needed to make visual collaboration successful - from any place and from any device.
By utilizing VCC services, organizations can seamlessly extend the reach of visual collaboration from conference rooms, to mobile users, partners and customers. Organizations can avoid the upfront capital expenditures and management challenges often associated with integrating and extending the reach of video technologies. VCC works with both public and private networks, removing many of the technical hurdles often involved in cloud migration.
IVCi developed VCC based on many years of experience successfully managing video environments for numerous clients; the entire suite of services addresses the range of challenges customers have experienced when implementing and utilizing their own unified communication solutions.
"VCC is the integration of our cloud-based video services that help organizations realize the greatest return on their video investment," said IVCi CEO Bob Swing. "VCC expands the reach of an organization's collaboration environment and connects mobile workers to room systems leveraging the devices that users utilize today, such as tablets and smartphones. The impact that collaboration can have on our customers' business has become even more significant."
The VCC encompasses the following service offerings that are designed to work together to allow anyone, anywhere to participate on video calls; regardless of technology, network, device or application (e.g. Skype, Google Talk, Microsoft Lync. H.323 devices, audio only, etc):
Managed Video Experience (MVE): MVE is designed for organizations that do not have the resources to manage, operate, and scale their own video conferencing environments. The service delivers a flawless meeting experience and provides complete management of an organization's video environment including call scheduling, automation, proactive meeting monitoring and bridging and gateway services with integrated reporting.
Mobility Experience: Joins remote or mobile participants to business-level video calls. Powered by Blue Jeans Network, Mobility Experience allows consumer desktop video clients such as Skype, Microsoft Lync, and Google Video Chat to connect with business class offerings from Polycom, Cisco, and Lifesize. By integrating into the Managed Video Experience customers enjoy all of the benefits of a secure video meeting while still providing access to remote participants.
Public Room Experience: At times when colleagues, business partners, or clients do not have access to a video room, Public Room Experience provides access to a world-wide network of video conferencing and telepresence rooms. IVCi's easy to use Web-interface allows customers to locate, schedule, and pay for a public video room effortlessly. When combined with IVCi's MVE, the entire process is automated, extending the reach of existing video meetings even further.
UC Experience: Powered by Microsoft Lync, UC Experience provides a unified interface that makes it easy for people to work together efficiently and effectively. Users collaborate in real time through instant messaging, audio and video calls, and online meetings with desktop, application, and whiteboard sharing. Now Lync users can be part of managed video meetings that have room systems and other mobile users connected.
Unified Video Travel Experience: This service can help a company increase the use of its video conferencing equipment by providing actual data on usage and travel costs avoided when video is used. An organization's travel management system automatically checks whether locations requested for travel have video, and notifies the user if the option is available along with the ability to schedule a video conference. When combined with IVCi's Public Room Experience and B2B exchange customers can realize a significant savings on their travel budgets.
As a leading integrator and provider of UC solutions and one of the first established managed service providers in the industry, IVCi continues to expand the scope of its cloud-based offerings so that customers can experience seamless collaboration every time. VCC is a complete cloud-based service that provides organizations with the power to collaborate anytime, anywhere, with anyone, on any device. When an organization chooses IVCi's VCC, it is expanding the reach of its collaboration abilities as far as can be imagined.
