Applied Global Technologies and Yorktel Announce Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Global Leadership in Mobile Video Conferencing
March 28, 2012 | Hogan Keyser
Rockledge, Fla. and Eatontown, N.J March 27, 2012 -- Applied Global Technologies (AGT), the leading managed services and Unified Communications technology provider for interactive and mobile video conferencing solutions, and Yorktel, a leading global provider of video managed services, today announce a partnership to enable Yorktel to embed AGT's mobile video conferencing solutions within its new and existing service offerings. The alliance is a two-fold advancement; allowing Yorktel to sell a mobile video conferencing gateway that attaches to existing Cisco and Polycom infrastructures, in addition to enabling their Cloud-based service via mobile video conferencing apps.
"AGT's valued partnership with Yorktel expands our global footprint and further proves the industry demand for a mobile video platform that can either be attached to existing infrastructure or deployed in a cloud environment," states Mike Valletutti, Chief Executive Officer of AGT. "With this partnership, two industry experts -- and former competitors -- team up to further advance leadership positions in the emerging mobile video conferencing market."
Yorktel's recently unveiled Video Cloud Connect+ (YVCC+) enables existing customers to expand and extend their video network. YVCC+ is fully managed, with full quality of service, allowing traditional Telepresence, HD Video rooms and UC clients to seamlessly connect for multi-point and "meet-me" calls. Interoperability is secured by the inclusion of ENCORE's Mobile Pathway Protocol, a universal standard mobile pathway developed by AGT that leverages already open and secure standard web ports to enable video communication between HD video conferencing systems, smartphones, tablets and laptops.
Through this partnership, AGT also will provide Yorktel branded apps that will be available in the Mac App store. With a focus in the Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Government and Healthcare markets, Yorktel will deliver custom apps that support these individual markets and enable smartphone and tablet users to interact and share content in meetings, connecting users through different private networks and without requiring additional firewall traversal solutions.
"AGT's mobility technology provides a secure, on-premise attach solution for our clients that require a single-port solution for peering private networks," explains Bin Guan, Chief Technology Officer of Yorktel. "This partnership strengthens our mobility portfolio by enabling business-to-business applications and support for disparate video endpoints"
AGT's formalized partner program is multi-tiered to accommodate a diverse range of partners and addresses levels and commitments for product/technical support, training, lead generation, marketing support and discount structures.
