iView - Powered by Vidyo - will enable mobile enterprise users to seamlessly participate in video meetings using their iPads or iPhones
London, United Kingdom (PRWEB) October 06, 2011 -- BCS Global Networks Limited, a leading worldwide provider of managed videoconferencing, telepresence and visual collaboration services, today announced support for iOS mobile devices, which will be available through its cloud-based desktop managed video services.
With this new service enhancement, BCS Global makes it easy for its mobile enterprise users to participate and collaborate in video meetings using the iView - Powered by Vidyo service from their iOS mobile devices.
"We are very excited with the launch of iView - Powered by Vidyo's support for iOS mobile devices," said Mark Matone, Head of Products at BCS Global. "We anticipate that the demand for video collaboration services on smartphones and tablets will be in line with the significant growth trend that we are seeing for these devices. With this new capability, BCS Global can now offer its large enterprise and SMB customers an HD-quality mobile video collaboration service that can be accessed through an iPad or an iPhone, and is easy-to-use, reliable, affordable and scalable."
"VidyoMobile turns hundreds of millions of mobile devices into multipoint video conferencing and communication endpoints delivering up to 720p HD resolution with shared content viewing capability," said Rob Hughes, SVP of Worldwide Channels at Vidyo. " Equally as important is that participants are able to connect to video conferences beyond their mobile devices - with desktop and laptop computers and telepresence room systems - and experience the same low latency, high quality performance that is Vidyo's hallmark."
iView - Powered by Vidyo can participate in conferences with people joining from any device (desktops, laptops, telepresence room systems), over general purpose Internet as well as WiFi, or 4G displaying up to 4 participants at a time on the iPad2, and provides the user the ability to customize which participants to view and select presentation materials. Additionally, participants are displayed using the active speaker feature, which automatically displays the current and last few speakers.
iView - Powered by Vidyo for iOS 4 is available now and support for the iPhone 5 will be coming soon. iView - Powered by Vidyo for Android smartphones and tablets is in Beta and will be available for select certified devices in November.
