Appia Communications Offers Unlimited Video Conferencing and Broadcasting for One Low Price
October 26, 2011 | Hogan Keyser
"As travel costs continue to climb and travel hassles continue to worsen, video communication is coming into its own. We hope to help accelerate that change by offering high quality, secure, high-definition video at a price almost every company and organization can afford," said Victor von Schlegell, Appia's president.
The new pricing applies to Appia's best-in-class hosted Appia Video Communicator (AVC) platform. For $199 per month, customers can choose either video conferencing with up to 12 participants or video broadcasting with up to 192 users. Customers can purchase hardware especially designed for video from Appia or use certain PCs with AVC software.
"Broadcasting is the perfect choice for distance learning, marketers, and micro-broadcasters," von Schlegell continued. "With AVC, you can reach nearly 200 end-users in high definition."
AVC includes screen sharing and chat. It is an alternative to webinar services that can cost more than twice as much per month.
"In addition to competitive pricing, one of the comments we hear most often is how easy AVC is to use," said von Schlegell. "AVC has a simple and intuitive interface that allows users to get up and running quickly."
