The cloud based video conferencing service provider, Vidtel has signed RealLinx as the distributor for its hosted MeetMe Video Conferencing Service.
RealLinx is a national provider of telephone and data connection services -- including DSL Internet access, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service, and managed virtual private networks (VPNs) -- to business customers. Under the agreement, RealLinx will be marketing
Vidtel's MeetMe Video Conferencing Service to the company's hosted voice business customers and service provider customers nationwide.
Today's SMEs are in the lookout for an enterprise-grade multi-party video conferencing solution that is easy to implement, but not very expensive. In response to this growing demand for affordable video conferencing solutions, Vidtel has developed this hosted video conferencing service, exclusively for the SMEs.In a press release, Vidtel claimed that the service will cost about the same price as the maintenance costs on multi-party video conferencing infrastructure alone.
The Vidtel solution has been developed as an any-to-any solution, supporting the connection of a wide range of devices to the Vidtel virtual meeting room. These devices may range from enterprise-grade video conferencing equipment like Cisco/Tandberg, Polycom, LifeSize and Sony to consumer-grade technologies like Skype and GoogleTalk.
The participants will be able to simply dial into the service and enjoy high quality audio and video experience, Vidtel said.
According to President of RealLinx, Gabriel Diaz the so far SME market has been underserved by video conferencing solutions. Vidtel hosted service is expected to bridge this gap.
"The Vidtel hosted service is an excellent complement to our hosted solutions for the small-medium enterprise market. To date, the SME market has been underserved by video conferencing solutions targeted to their needs so we look forward to filling that void with this solution. With this outsourced solution, barriers to SMBs fall away, as they have no need to acquire expensive infrastructure for enterprise-grade multi-party video conferencing with third-parties," Diaz noted in a statement.
In the release, Vidtel announced that it is going to make its MeetMe Video Conferencing service commercially available in Q4 2011 through RealLinx service providers or directly from RealLinx.
Few months back, InFocus Corp. and Vidtel, Inc. were awarded InfoComm 2011 Best in Show - Partnerships by Telepresence Options for their partnership to deliver cloud service for any-to-any video conferencing on InFocus products, beginning with Mondopad.
