Polycom recently completed it's acquisition of HP's Visual Collaboration business unit, sources report. As has been reported elsewhere on the web, Andrew Miller, president and CEO of Polycom, was quoted as saying that "Polycom is excited to close this acquisition and we welcome Halo customers to Polycom. Polycom and HP share a strategic ally in Microsoft, and we believe our combined offerings will provide transformative benefits and value to customers worldwide." Both companies will exclusively partner with each other, however. According to the terms of the agreement, Polycom will be the excludive Telepresence partner to HP for future UC solutions, and both companies will make available video applications provided by Polycom on the HP webOS platform.

According to Polycom, uninterrupted support and services will be delivered for the Halo Products and Managed Services business, including for Halo Video Exchange Network (HVEN) customers.
