Glowpoint to Provide Cloud Managed Video Services for Polycom Unified Communications Solutions

Managed services offerings available for a range of Polycom telepresence and high-definition video conferencing offerings
MURRAY HILL, N.J., July 19, 2011 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOW), a leading global provider of cloud managed video services, today announced that they have signed an agreement with Polycom, Inc., a global leader in unified communications (UC), to provide cloud managed video services for Polycom's telepresence and video conferencing solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Polycom partners are able to offer Polycom branded cloud managed video services delivered by Glowpoint. The services will include management of Polycom UC solutions and video infrastructure on customer premise or fully hosted from Glowpoint's cloud.

The partnership with Glowpoint will allow Polycom partners to offer market leading remote management capabilities including customer valued managed services such as 24 x 7 proactive room and video infrastructure sweeps, helpdesk and concierge support, software upgrades, scheduling solutions, and call recording.

In a study published in May of 2011 by Wainhouse Research, channel partners in the video conferencing and unified communications market indicated that over 74 percent of their customers are interested in purchasing managed services for video.
