Glowpoint Adds Key New Corporate Development and Marketing Executives

New executives from Cisco and Hewlett Packard add to already growing unified communications industry experience on the firm's management staff
MURRAY HILL, N.J., July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOW), a leading global provider of cloud managed video services, today announced two more key additions to its management staff from leading Fortune 100 companies in the unified communications industry.
Tolga Sakman, formerly of Cisco Systems, will take on the role of Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy, effective immediately. He is joined by Darren Podrabsky, who left Hewlett Packard to take on the role of Vice President of Marketing, also effective immediately.

Sakman comes to Glowpoint with over 15 years of experience directing corporate development, mergers and acquisitions initiatives, market research, competitive intelligence operations, and industry and financial analyst relations. Most recently, he was a key member of Cisco's Telepresence Technology Group working on market development initiatives. He joined Cisco through the TANDBERG acquisition, and was instrumental in setting the regulatory approval strategy for the transaction.
Podrabsky brings nearly 20 years of experience at Hewlett Packard to the Glowpoint team. He has over 13 years of marketing management experience including product and channel development, product marketing, public and analyst relations, and marketing program management. He was formerly the Worldwide Channels Marketing Manager for HP's Visual Collaboration products, where he was instrumental in launching the inaugural U.S. distributor and value added reseller program for those products. Prior to this, he served as the Worldwide Marketing Manager for the HP Halo Telepresence products, which included a suite of immersive endpoints and a complete end-to-end managed services offering.
