Azlan Ramps Up Cisco Telepresence Stock To Meet Reseller Demand

First significant TelePresence stocking position ever taken; $4 Million TelePresence stock held ready to support Ciscos channel
Jun 27, 2011 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- [Cisco's] [s]tock position reflects the growth being seen since the Tandberg acquisition[.] Azlan, the enterprise division of Computer 2000, has invested in a $4 million stockholding of Cisco (ex-Tandberg) TelePresence hardware in order to support the rapidly expanding volume of end-user demand for video communications capability.
This exceptional investment will enable Cisco partners to maximise their opportunities with the companys extensive range of TelePresence solutions. Cisco is seeing high levels of interest and accelerated adoption amongst mid-market and large enterprise customers looking to introduce unified communications to improve business responsiveness and efficiency.
Joel Chimoindes, Director of Unified Communications at Azlan, said that the company had been working hard with both partners and Cisco to refine forecasting and processes and thus ensure that it has the right stock profile to meet current demand.
We want to make certain that we can fulfil hardware orders on a next-day basis and meet licensing needs within two to three days. Weve also been working with Cisco to streamline the transition of ex-Tandberg partners into the Cisco eco-system. The most significant and encouraging aspect of our being able to take such a large investment in Cisco TelePresence stock is the huge increase we are seeing in end user demand for video communication as part of the general move to refine and unify the numerous disparate strands of IP-based communication.
