Telepresence Options Seeking Managing Editor & Writers

Over the past year we have focused on growing the publishing side of Telepresence Options into the largest identifiable audience in the world interested in telepresence and visual collaboration. We have more than doubled the website traffic from an average of 747 session per day in 2009 to 2014 sessions per day as of May 2011 and growing!  The subscribers to our newsletter, the Telepresence Options Telegraph, have grown from 2861 to 4724.  We launched a new website the Telepresence and Videoconferencing Catalog which has become the Internet's most comprehensive and intelligently-organized overview of telepresence and visual collaboration solutions. Recently we have launched Telepresence Options Magazine and we are now looking for a talented editor and some writers to help us take both the website and magazine to the next level.

Managing Editor - Telepresence Options

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both print/on-line publishing and telepresence and effective visual collaboration.  The candidate's knowledge base should encompass: telepresence environments, videoconferencing endpoints, codecs, and network infrastructure.  Knowledge of telepresence/videoconferencing managed services, inter-networking, and exchange.

The candidate will be able to managed multiple websites on both Movable Type and WordPress self-publishing platforms and a subscription management system built on

The Editor will be responsible for tracking the news and developments of the telepresence and videoconferencing industry on a daily basis and be responsible for writing 3-4 articles per week on the important developments of the industry plus longer feature articles for Telepresence Options publications that can be written over several weeks time.

The editor will supervise three part-time contractors in graphic design, website maintenance, and site upkeep and an outside agency.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to represent the publication to the media, sponsors, advertisers and grow the new print publication, Telepresence Options Magazine, as measured in new subscribers and advertisers.

Contributing Writers

Telepresence Options is looking for contributing writers who design and deploy telepresence and visual collaboration networks for global businesses.  We are looking for front-line stories and real-world expertise in deploying/managing multi-million dollar visual collaboration investments for the next issue of Telepresence Options Magazine.

The next issue of the magazine will be published in the Fall and will be focused on:
