Ericsson & Polycom team so telcos can offer telepresence

Ericsson and Polycom have announced collaboration to provide a complete system that will enable telcos to provide hosted telepresence services to businesses and consumers.
During Mobile World Congress, Ericsson and Polycom say they are "previewing integration between the Ericsson IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) network and Polycom infrastructure and telepresence endpoints, in the first collaborative step between the companies."
They have provided few other details but significantly they have emphasised that their combined offering is designed to enable telcos to take telepresence to the consumer market, not just corporates and SMEs.
