VCI-Group focuses on peer to peer relationships and education

Minneapolis, MN - March 11, 2010 The newly formed Visual Communications Industry Group (VCI-Group) has a clear vision of their place within the conferencing and collaboration market. The group, which was formerly aligned with Polycom, Inc. and called the Polycom User Group, was formed to provide a vehicle for peer to peer information sharing, education and to influence industry standards.

VCI-Group is comprised of two main membership categories: Principal and Alliance.
Principal memberships are open to individuals who are users of conferencing and collaboration products and services. This membership type is eligible for all member benefits, including an online resource center, attendance to virtual educational events, discounts for VCI-Group in-person events and offerings from strategic partners, use of the electronic mailing list to discuss issues with other members and to gain access to industry leaders, and many more.

Alliance memberships are open to vendors, dealers, or consultants who supply collaboration technologies products and/or services, or complementary products and/or services. Alliance members have the opportunity to exhibit, sponsor and present at both in-person and virtual events. They also have access to press release dissemination through electronic newsletters and web postings, a company listing in the buyers guide and much more.

The VCI-Group will be holding its 2010 Annual Conference from October 3-6 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA. The event will feature a lively exhibit hall with a variety of industry vendors, cutting-edge educational sessions, and valuable networking opportunities. Attendees will leave with real-life best practices to take back to their companies. Exhibitors will leave with beneficial feedback and relationships with decision-making users within the industry.

More information about VCI-Group including membership and VCI-Group 2010 Annual Conference details can be found at www.vci-group.org.
