HILLSIDE, N.J. January 7, 2010 - Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOW), a carrier-grade  provider of managed telepresence and video communications services, today announced that year-over-year monthly recurring core revenue for the 2009 fourth quarter is expected to exceed 13%, a 30% increase over previously-stated guidance. This revenue increase caps a year of record results for the Company, highlighted by the following:

* Continued gross margin improvement

* Achieved record quarterly revenue during the second quarter of 2009

* Record number of video conference and telepresence calls produced

* Record video calling traffic volumes on Glowpoint's cloud-based infrastructure and the Telepresence interExchange Network ("TEN")

In addition, Glowpoint secured new strategic partnerships and expanded key existing ones, providing a foundation for continued growth. These partnerships include Polycom, the industry's leading equipment manufacturer; a global telecommunications carrier who is one of a select few Cisco TelePresence Advanced Technology Partner resellers; and AVI-SPL, the world's largest audio visual integration company.

Glowpoint's President and Co-CEO Joseph Laezza said, "Much of our growth can be attributed to the success of our strategic partnerships, which are now driving significant top-line revenue from high-profile, multi-national customers. In many cases, we are seeing comprehensive, multi-year engagements from channel-driven clients that, in addition to providing direct revenue growth, lead to stronger and more cohesive relationships between Glowpoint and its partners."

In 2009, several leading research firms, such as Frost & Sullivan, Forrester, Wainhouse, and Nemertes all published reports forecasting significant growth in the telepresence and video conferencing service sectors. Additionally, Gartner indicated the telepresence and video conferencing industry will reach $8.6 billion through 2013.1

In response to this growing demand, Glowpoint launched several products and services designed to offer companies enhanced capabilities and to help them increase video adoption, including:

 * Cloud-based infrastructure access for telepresence users

* Interoperability for b2b use of telepresence and video

* Web-based conference scheduling with MS Outlook integration

* VNOC-based automated room sweep for highly proactive monitoring

"With a full spectrum of b2b and managed services products and services in place, we are poised to meet the needs of this rapidly emerging market," said Glowpoint's Co-CEO David Robinson. "The momentum from 2009 has set the stage for 2010 to be the best year in Glowpoint's history," continued Robinson.

Building on this momentum, Robinson and Laezza summarized their product and business development objectives for Glowpoint in 2010:

* Expand strategic relationships with additional global unified communications providers

* Broaden acceptance of b2b video calling capabilities with integration to multiple global carrier networks

* Expand hardware and network interoperability support

* Integrate SIP (session initiation protocol) based protocols with cloud infrastructure and TEN

 * Enhance web-based, end-user video management tools and applications such as presence, automated call launching, and integrated scheduling

 * Expand Glowpoint's cloud-based video conferencing and telepresence infrastructure to allow customers enhanced alternatives to their own existing or new video communications capabilities beyond their premise-based systems and equipment

Laezza and Robinson will provide further commentary at the upcoming Sidoti & Company 2010 Micro Cap Conference in New York City on January 11, 2010. Their presentation is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. EST at the Grand Hyatt New York, located at 109 East 42nd Street at Grand Central Terminal.
