Cisco TelePresence Contest- Why do you want your Cisco TelePresence?

August 24, 2009 | Howard Lichtman
Cisco is having a contest "Why I want Cisco TelePresence" where entrants can win up to $3,000 and 5 hours of usage of Cisco TelePresence by producing a short video explaining how Cisco TelePresence could benefit you and your organization. You can enter the contest here:
http://www.whyiwantciscotelepresence.com/contest/

I wanted to get in on the fun so here is my entry.

Since the Human Productivity Lab is a vendor-neutral telepresence consulting firm and Telepresence Options is a multi-vendor sponsored publication, to avoid the appearance of impropriety if I win I will be splitting the winnings evenly between these 5 charities and organizations:

1. Amazon Cares - Animal shelter and clinic  in Iquitos, Peru that rescues animals from the streets, restores them to health, and finds loving homes.
http://www.AmazonCares.org

2.  Vacations for Veterans -  Matches up wounded veterans with donated time in vacation homes, donated frequent flier miles, and other helpful services.  http://www.VacationsForVeterans.org/

3. Bicycles for Humanity - Collects discarded and donated bicycles from the US, Europe and other first world countries and donates them to third world countries where they can change lives.

4.  Electronic Frontier Foundation - The leading civil liberties group defending your rights in the digital world.

5.  Fluoride Action Network - an international coalition of doctors, scientists, and health professionals seeking to broaden public awareness about the toxicity of fluoride compounds and the health impacts of water fluoridation.

So even if you don't enter the contest then please drop by and vote for our entry!
