FVC introduces Polycom's expanded Telepresence portfolio
FVC, a leading Value Added Distributor (VAD) in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, has announced the availability of three new immersive Polycom Telepresence Experience (TPX) solutions from Polycom, the world's leading provider of unified collaborative communications solutions.
The addition of these new solutions now positions Polycom as an industry leader with the broadest telepresence portfolio.
Polycom extended its telepresence portfolio to support 1080p resolution to meet customer applications requiring the highest clarity of video and content.
The company also introduced its TPX 306M with content on the table as part of the InfoComm HD Conferencing & Telepresence Showcase.
The new Polycom TPX 306M with content on the table is a three-screen solution for medium and large environments accommodating up to six people on camera in each location.
It features personal, pop-up content displays embedded within the table, making content collaboration natural and effective during meetings.![]()
The Polycom TPX 204M is a new two-screen solution for small and medium conference environments accommodating up to four people in each location, and the TPX 102M is a single-screen solution for small meeting environment and offices accommodating up to two people at each location.
The Polycom TPX 306M with content on the table, TPX 204M and TPX 102M are now available for order through FVC's certified Polycom channel partners in Middle East and North Africa.

Gartner, Inc., a leading analyst firm, also recently gave Polycom a 'Positive' rating in Gartner's 'MarketScope for Video Telepresence Solutions, 2008' dated April 21, 2008 by Rich Costello and Scott Morrison.
According to the study, a 'Positive' rating signals that Gartner considers that particular vendor a viable choice for strategic investments, while planning for known limitations, for potential customers.
The study further states that by 2010, Gartner expects telepresence to generate $600m in annual equipment (including services) revenue worldwide, total telepresence market revenue could reach $1.5bn annually by 2010.
