SAN DIEGO, Nov. 13 -- Telanetix Inc. , a leading provider of IP communication solutions to the SMB and SME marketplace, has been named the recipient of the 2008 Frost & Sullivan North American Telepresence Emerging Company of the Year for its advancements in technology and for market growth of its telepresence products.

"Frost & Sullivan is impressed with Telanetix's positioning in the telepresence market. Realizing that many companies could not, or would not, spend over $300K per room for telepresence, they presented the market with a solution that has a street price of under $100K," said Paul Waadevig, Global Director for Frost & Sullivan's Conferencing Practice.

"Telepresence may well be the most powerful tool to enhance organizational effectiveness since the telephone. At Telanetix, we recognized that usage must extend beyond the executive boardroom in order for the organization to fully realize the benefits of the technology," said Tom Szabo CEO and Chairman of Telanetix. "We have been recognized for our innovative approach to Telepresence, which delivers the flexibility and ROI model to proliferate this powerful tool throughout organizations ranging from the large enterprise to small businesses. We're honored to be recognized by Frost and Sullivan for our contributions to this exciting industry."

Additionally, Frost & Sullivan touted Telanetix's integrated approach which delivers innovative Codecs (encoders and decoders), data sharing and network quality assurance capabilities into a single appliance. This allows the company to provide a no-compromise, cost effective solution that is accessible to organizations of any size.

The Frost & Sullivan Award for Emerging Company of the Year is presented each year to the company that has emerged as a significant participant within its industry. This company is perceived to have exhibited outstanding management, superior market growth, exceptional customer service and the ability to combine technology and successful strategic initiatives. This company has the exceptional know-how to take advantage of market changes through the execution of innovative strategies within the existing competitive landscape.
